Stockton man gets two Army medals
Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, presented two military service medals on Friday to Capt. Bill Behrns, a World War II veteran who was an Ace pilot of P-38 fighter planes.
Behrns, who lives in Stockton, was an Army pilot in the China-Burma-India area and flew P-38 fighter planes. He flew more than 100 missions and is one of the few pilots assigned to his squadron to have survived.

McNerney introduces bill to fight outsourcing
U.S. Rep. Jerry McNerney (D., 11th District) has introduced a bill to stop outsourcing by cracking down on what he calls "tax loopholes" that encourage companies to move jobs abroad. It would also help ensure that corporations with government contracts do not ship jobs overseas.
"Tax dollars spent from this government should create jobs in this country, not overseas," McNerney said.
